ALR and Presentation A set of recordings made on location to analogue format (creating only a single physical and exclusive 'print' per recording) that capture the acoustic effects and characteristics of an environment when subjected to an audition of a solo instrument or sound. Upon this occasion, a pair of Claves were performed in and around the site of an abandoned former Russian Panzer Tank HQ, that was previously a German military uniform repair centre, in the outskirts of Berlin. The recordings were made to a Uher REPORT 4200. The recordings are presented with the same apparatus for playback as was used for recording, of the physical 'prints' that were created on location. The content is never introduced to the digital domain, and serves as much a presentation of the format, as it is of the content. As such, the format requires operational duties such as change-overs that form entr'actes. These entr'actes are utilised by Bryan Eubanks to perform similarly with the acoustic effects and characteristics of the environment where the presentation is set, as was captured on location. The listener is invited to consider a comparison - or superimposition - of the acoustic and acousmatic spaces under observation.
